DESCRIPTION:This seminar will present Hayward Baker's latest geotechnical construction and ground modification techniques.  Hayward Baker provides a wide variety of geotechnical engineering (design-build) and construction services to improve soils in-place and to both construct new and to rehabilitate existing foundations and earth retaining structures.  Among our range of services\, a Ground Modification solution is generally available for the toughest subsurface conditions.\n\n \n\nThe techniques discussed will include:  \n\n\n	\n		Wick Drains\n	\n		Deep Dynamic Compaction\; Aggregate Piers and Vibro Compaction and Replacement\n	\n		Rigid Inclusions and Soil Mixing\n	\n		Cement Grouting\, Chemical Grouting\, Compaction Grouting\, and Jet Grouting\n\nSpeaker(s):  Spring Borchardt\, P.E. and Mike Minton\, P.E. are both Project Managers in Hayward Baker's Central region working with ground improvement technologies throughout the upper Midwest.  Each has 10 years or more experience in geotechnical engineering and construction. Ray Franz\, P.E.\, D.GE is Division Manager for Grouting and Ground Improvement for Hayward Baker's Midwest Region.  He has 25 years of experience in geotechnical consulting and construction practice.\n\n \n\n	  This program is free to ACEC/MN members \n\n	Lunch is being provided by Hayward Baker Inc.
