SUMMARY:Low Impact Stormwater Development & Design: Topics and Case Studies
DESCRIPTION:Low Impact Development (LID) is often talked about in the engineering profession and is beginning to be required by municipalities. But what is LID and how can it be implemented? Join this discussion and find out how LID is being implemented across the county and how existing technologies can be used to create LID designs and systems. \n\n \n\nThis seminar will cover the following topics:\n\n\n	LID design versus conventional design\n	National trends in LID\n	Local case studies that utilize features of LID design\n	How manufactured products can be integrated into low impact stormwater design\n\n \n\nSpeaker(s): Glenn Byes is the Regional Stormwater Specialist in Minnesota\, Western Wisconsin and Chicago for CONTECH Engineered Solutions. Glenn has been with CONTECH since 2004. His previous experience includes work as a consulting engineer with a focus on structures. He was also a Project Consultant for CONTECH Stormwater Solutions in several states in the Midwest. Glenn received his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota where he focused on water resources.
