DESCRIPTION:Steel Joist Design\, Joe Voigt\, New Millennium\n\n\n\nThe purpose of this course is to highlight several areas of joist specification that commonly cause design and coordination issues\, and to provide clear guidance on how to effectively handle these items during the design phase of a project. Better informed specifying engineers can then more efficiently specify joists and collaborate with New Millennium joist engineers early on a project. Together\, we can then accelerate the process\, cut costs and improve the project delivery timeline.\n\n\n\nPresented by: Joe Voigt\, P.E.\, Marketing and Business Development Manager\n\n\n\nJoseph K. Voigt\, P.E. (IN) is the Marketing and Business Development Manager for New Millennium Building Systems. He received his BSCE from Trine University and worked nearly 10 years as an engineer for New Millennium prior to his current role. Joe has been an active member of the Steel Joist Institute Research Committee since 2013 and has served as its chairman since 2020.
