SUMMARY:Tax Reform Update: Changes for 2018 and Beyond
DESCRIPTION:Come and learn from our panel of experts about the sweeping federal tax law changes that resulted from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act signed into law December of 2017. These changes won't only affect the amount of tax you pay this year but could also have an impact on how you handle certain benefits for your employees or outings with clients and prospects. \n\n \n\nMost of the tax law changes are already in effect for 2018\, so whether you're the business owner\, CFO\, accountant\, project manager or architect/engineer\, it's a good time to make sure your firm is up to speed. As with most tax legislation\, the detailed regulations and interpretations take time to emerge. Our panel will discuss what they believe will be the most significant tax provision changes effecting engineering and design firms\, as well as review the current interpretation of the new 20% pass through deduction.\n\n \n\nPanel: Meghan Kratz will moderate a panel of tax experts\, including Greg Margarit\, Kevin Ellis\, and Mike Crabtree. All four are partners with the Boulay CPA's and Advisors accounting firm. Meghan\, Greg and Kevin have significant experience serving engineering and design firms\, including several ACEC member firms. Mike is a technical tax expert with extensive knowledge on the new tax law changes.
