SUMMARY:Tri-State Executive Leaders Forum
DESCRIPTION:American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Minnesota\, North Dakota and South Dakota will be holding its Second Tri-State Executive Leaders Forum on February 20-21\, 2014. The event will be held in Fargo and judging the level of interest last year\, this should again be very successful event. We will be bringing together firm leaders for networking\, relationship-building\, and the opportunity to brainstorm about shared concerns. Please join your fellow executive leaders for a robust discussion of matters of importance to you and your profession.\n\n\n\nThe gathering will begin with a networking reception and dinner on Thursday\, February 20\, followed by breakfast and roundtable discussion on Friday\, February 21\, that will conclude before noon. The roundtable discussion is an open forum geared to give those in attendance an opportunity to engage each other on the issues of the day\, from the current business climate\, partnering opportunities\, hiring and personnel issues\, liability and contracts to regulatory issues. There is no doubt you will walk away from the forum with helpful information and ideas to bring back to your firm.\n\n\n\nPaul Lucy\, Director of the Economic Development & Finance (ED&F) Division of the North Dakota Department of Commerce will be making a presentation to the group on Friday morning. He has served in that capacity since October\, 2006. ED&F leads the state's efforts to attract\, retain and expand economic wealth. He will briefly discuss the future of North Dakota and then have an open conversion with the group. \n\n \n\nI hope you'll plan on joining us for what we hope will be a recurring event. Your suggestions for roundtable topics are welcome and appreciated. We will be surveying attendees before the conference to generate potential topics of discussion.
