SUMMARY:Women In Engineering: Confident Presence for Networking
DESCRIPTION:While "sheltering in place" has put a huge crimp on networking\, the need to do it hasn't gone away. If anything\, the need has increased\, and the questions about how to do it have skyrocketed. \n\n \n\nOn May 18\, two facilitators from SagePresence will lead us through Confident Presence for Networking\, an interactive experience of how to engage others in productive conversation in this new virtual frontier. Join us for a vibrant learning experience\, and bring your questions!\n\n\n\n\n\nPresenters:\n\n\n\nTeri Walker McLaughlin speaks and trains for SagePresence drawing on a rich professional history that includes banking\, investment real estate\, government\, non-profit leadership\, and independent consulting. As a lifelong leader committed to service and being an agent of positive change\, Teri has managed a $1.7 million mayoral race in St Paul\, has led two nonprofit organizations to national recognition and international models of success\, and has presided over a multinational professional association.\n\n\n\nThrough it all\, Teri recognized that what allowed her to achieve such success was her ability to present herself\, communicate clearly\, and build professional relationships with the right people. In 2015 she decided to focus her consulting on building these skills in others through public speaking and presentation skills training and development. Teri counts commercial construction contractors and engineers among her most favorite clients\, assisting these subject matter and technical experts in delivering messages that engage and resonate with less technical audiences. She is excited to be aligned with SagePresence over a shared commitment to help elevate the confident presence of professionals\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPete Machalek is a consultant and skill-builder who specializes in helping service professionals present themselves with confident presence\, everywhere from the networking floor to the presenter's stage.\n\n\n\nIn 2001\, Pete and his partner co-founded SagePresence around their backgrounds in film\, from which they cultivated a unique expertise in storytelling and facilitating performances that truly speak to audiences. Throughout its history\, SagePresence has focused on helping professional service firms grow by cultivating their client-facing team members into effective ambassadors of the firm\, building professional relationships with prospects and clients and presenting with confident presence in shortlist interview presentations\, ultimately leading client firms to win over $4.5 billion in new business.
