DESCRIPTION:Women In Engineering Professional Development Series\n\n \n\nThe Women In Engineering Professional Development luncheon series\, a partnership between ACEC/MN and WSB\, provides a meaningful opportunity for participants to identify and develop professional competencies that will support them in contributing to their organizations and communities\, and advancing their career goals.\n\n \n\n \n\nWhat Women (in Engineering) Really Want: How to Create a Firm that Attracts and Retains High-Performing Women\n\n\n\nRegistration & Networking - 11:30am \n\nLuncheon & Presentation -  12:00-1:00pm\n\nCredit:  1 PDH\n\nCost: $10\n\n \n\nJoin this highly interactive focus group workshop that will cover experiences in the field from college grads to seasoned pros. Our discussion will include:\n\n \n\nDefining what attracts and retains the right women for your firm\n\nPinpointing the most important benefits women want now\n\nIdentifying cultural aspects of firms that can attract or repel women\n\nDeveloping a firm culture that supports women   and men!\n\nHelping women overcome barriers to leadership and business development.\n\nBest of all\, the data gathered at this session will be (anonymously) assembled into a report that each participant can bring to her firm to help make it more women-friendly.\n\n \n\nPresenters: Wendy Nemitz\, Christine Nelson\, Virginia McCoy\, Ingenuity Marketing\n\n \n\nFacilitators Wendy Nemitz\, Christine Nelson\, and Virginia McCoy each represent a different generation of women working with the engineering profession.
