Come and join the American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota (ACEC/MN) and Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA-UMR) as we explore various topics related to building engineering and construction.
Large or small, our firms often face similar issues that are conducive to maintaining a thriving building engineering and construction industry in Minnesota. Attend the BEC Conference to learn more about the latest challenges, updates and trends facing the AEC community while connecting with others in your industry. ACEC/MN and DBIA-UMR provide business support through education, networking, and advocacy. CEUs and PDHs will be available.
Conference Program
This conference offers in-depth presentations on the State of Vertical Development in the Twin Cities, Rochester Destination Medical Center, and engineering ethics as well as three thematic tracks with informative sessions by industry leaders. Track 1 - Business Practices/Risk Management includes sessions on Market Forecast, Common Interest Community Laws, and Creating Successful Teams and Partnerships. Track 2 - Codes delves into NEC, plumbing and energy codes. Track 3 - Project Delivery Methods focusing on alternative delivery trends, an industry panel Q&A session, and a case study of the Minnesota Senate Building.
