Description
Contracts between consulting engineering companies and their clients are essential to setting expectations for projects. Many of the “boilerplate” clauses in owner and form contracts have very real impacts on an engineer’s risk and obligations throughout the project. This discussion will look at 10 clauses, in particular, that every engineer needs to understand and negotiate during the contracting process. The in-depth look at these clauses will help attendees understand how they could be impacted. We will also discuss strategies for negotiating these clauses to ensure that firms are not taking unintended risk on projects.
