Founded in 1955 in Minneapolis, MBJ is a nationally recognized structural engineering firm with more than 60 licensed engineers across seven offices in Minnesota, Arizona, Illinois, Wisconsin, and California. We deliver innovative structural solutions across diverse markets, including aviation, civic, commercial, education, government, healthcare, hospitality, housing, industrial, office, and science & technology.

With project experience in 49 U.S. states and in Canada, MBJ is a trusted partner to both public and private clients. Our portfolio spans new buildings, additions, complex renovations, and historic preservations—always with a focus on resilience, performance, and sustainability. We’ve collaborated on more than 40 LEED-certified projects, including LEED Platinum, as well as PassivHaus and Net Zero designs.
